Round House in Wilton, CT

Located at 122 Olmstead Hill Rd in Wilton, the distinctive Round House is certainly a one-of-a-kind home.  Designed by renowned architect Richard T. Foster (who was assisted by Philip Johnson) and built in 1967, Round House is a residence that blurs the line between the interior and exterior.

The glass walls and the home’s unique ability to rotate 360 degrees gives the inhabitants a changing perspective on the surrounding scenery.  One complete rotation of the house takes about 50 minutes.  The rotation can be slowed or stopped.  This 2,997 sq ft home sits 12 feet above the ground and has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and “Smart House” technology.  The property also has a guest house and in-ground lap pool.
