Running RiverWallingford, Connecticut is a town located between New Haven, Connecticut and Hartford, Connecticut that has 45,000 residents. Founded in 1667, Wallingford covers an area of 39.8 square miles and is located along the Quinnipiac River in New Haven County. Wallingford’s early industry was mostly pewter and Britannia ware manufacturers, which later became home to many plants for the International Silver Company. Today there are many more industries sin Wallingford such as medical, health care, service, high-tech specialty metal manufacturing and research development. Bristol-Myers Squibb Company houses a research and development facility in Wallingford. Amtrak is the town’s provider of public transportation and an airport is just thirteen miles away at Tweed New Haven Airport.
