Eva Balter of Monroe Township is currently a Middlesex County active adult volunteer for the state’s volunteer ombudsman program.
This statewide volunteer program gives Balter a chance to spend several hours visiting with the elderly at the Applegarth Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Monroe Township.
While her active adult living community does plan many social activities including regular trips to Atlantic City, this volunteer program helps Balter to give back to state elderly residents by monitoring their care and quality of life.
Many of such activities and volunteer opportunities exist at the many active adult communities throughout Middlesex County.
Art Tatta, a Central Connecticut realtor, is familiar with the active adult community real estate offerings.
