Middletown CT has a long and interesting historical presence.  Located along the Connecticut River, this scenic town was once home to the Mattabesett Native Americans and was named after that tribe.

Plans for this colonial town were first drawn up by General Court in 1646 and the first Europeans began arriving in 1650.  Life was hard for these first Puritan settlers, but by the 1700′s, Middletown was the largest and most successful Connecticut settlement and port.

Years later, wars, immigrations, and businesses shaped the Middletown CT that residents know and love today.

Art Tatta, a Middletown CT real estate agent, is familiar with historical real estate, and can guide you on finding the perfect historical Middletown home.
