Having grown up in a Portuguese village where hard work was necessary to create a refined result and community was valued, John Gouveia vowed to bring that passion to Connecticut.  Gouveia Vinyards was once a barren plot of farmland which has been transformed into a handcrafted Eden of romantic escapism.

The wealth of knowledge that you will harvest is sure to be just as bountiful and succulent as the wine offered.  The vineyard has an organized plot of 4 acres used by the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station, and participates in studies to identify the best needs for grapes to grow in Connecticut soil.
